Intercontinental Cooperative Telemanipulation between Germany and Japan

In: IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent RObots and Systems. IEEE, pages Video Session - accepted.

This paper discusses an experimental long distance telepresence using a humanoid robot as a projection of a remote human operators actions to perform collaborative task with another human collocated with the robot environment. In telepresence, the human controlling the humanoid perceives the remote environment through embedded humanoid sensors. A multimodal feedback including vision and haptic was achieved and the time delay considered in the control law that uses admittance control in both sides.
